There are tons of postings of our trip!
I posted a bunch of postings of the trip, pretend it is all one blog =). Overall, it was tons of fun for all of us. We got the opportunity to meet new family (for the very first time), re-visit with loved ones that we haven't seen in a while, and see the sights of the east. It was the longest, and shortest 5 days ever.. but the memories will last a lifetime. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to show us around, but more importantly.. thanks for welcoming us into your homes & your hearts. Until next time.. we'll be back!
First Stop: Washington DC
The trip to the east had 1 goal, to visit with family (lots of family). Getting to sight see, was icing on the cake. The weather was great most of the time. We had a lot to do in sooo little time.
Day 1.. travel to the east, Day 2... Visit with cousin John, while visiting some of the sights, including Mt. Vernon to see the home of George Washington, White house, and a museum.
Home of 1st President, Washington!
Vickie and Angel during his lunch break (Angel had to work while in DC)
Alli & Mom in Mt. Vernon
So exciting, a leaf fell on me.. for the very first time in my life.
Vickie & John (great relative and trour guide all rolled up into one!)
Day 2.. a tour up the coast
A quick stop into Maryland, and through to Philadelphia for a famous Philly cheese steak sandwich from Geno's.
