Foster Parents

Angel and I are officially foster parents of little 8lb "Snorkie" named Belle... Snorkie's happen to be Hybrids of a Mini Schnauzer and a Yorkie. She is 10 months old, and still very puppy like. She is definitely Alli's choice (as Chip was mine). Chip and Belle get along great. She will be staying with us for 2 weeks, and at that point we will decide if she will become a permanent part of our family.

We forgot what it's like to have a little one.. we'll have to train her, etc. Life doesn't get any better than this, LOL.

Stay tuned!

We took her on a walk while Chippy-do-da was getting groomed.

Alli - December's Citizen of the Month

I received a call Monday morning from Alli's teacher, and she had some great news... Alli was awarded the Citizen of the month. The ceremony was to take place on December 05, 2008.. and unfortunately Angel was scheduled to be on a plane coming back during the event. I called my mom to tell her the great news, and she decided to join in the festivities.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary

Although our Anniversary wasn't until December 1, 2008.. we had to celebrate on November 30, 2008... and with very good reason. Angel was leaving early in the morning for the east coast. We decided to indulge in a steak dinner, and spent the evening talking about how quickly the year had past.

As the evening ended, we decided to make a quick bet. You see, there was a boat next to the restaurant.. and we both thought that we knew the name of the boat. So this was our wager...

Angel's Vote: Reuben H. Lee
Wager: Do all of Victoria's laundry when he gets back to town
Victoria's Vote: Robert E. Lee
Wager: Do all the dishes for 1 week (not 5 business days, 1 solid week)

Needless to say, I (Victoria) lost this battle... and I have dishpan hands to prove it. Until next year when the "stakes" are higher! Back to the exciting life of Angel & Victoria...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a little crazy this year.. Alli and I went to Mama Martha's for an hour or so before having to rush back home.. we had company coming over our house too. Here are some pictures at Mama Martha's house.... =( no pix of the festivities that happened at home. Both places had tons and tons of food. Hope everyone had a Happy Turkey Day!

NKOTB Concert!!!!!!

I was 13 years old "again"... and I loved every minute of it. It was like Déjà vu. Stacey and I started the evening with dinner and wine at an Italian restaurant, then off to Cox Arena. I had so much fun!!!!!! The New Kids on the Block put on such an amazing show. They played all my favorites both old & new.

I'm not sure what was louder, the girls screaming or the actual concert.

P.S. Sorry Stacey.. I can't remember how many times I pinched and squeezed you. I HAD SO MUCH FUN

Stacey and I, all pumped and ready to go.

Winnie & Christine's Wedding

Our cousins got married on November 08, 2008 at Ponte Winery in Temecula!!! The ceremony was outdoors overlooking the vineyard.. and the reception was held on the property in a giant white tent. A beautiful fall wedding... lots of family and filled with memories.

No weding is complete without a sleepy baby. Baby Noah came all the way from NJ to be here, and poor thing was no match for the time change.
Ceremony was beatiful.. simple and filled with tears.

Girl Scouts Halloween party 10.27

I'm a bit behind, but here are some pictures from Alli's Halloween party Oct 27. It has been a very busy week since we returned from the east coast.. but we're slowly transforming back to what we all know of as "normalcy". Alli's costume for Halloween 2008 was a cute and frilly bumble bee.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween!!!

The girls start off every girl scout meeting by writing a journal entry.

Then the completed the cutest craft, decorating Halloween pails!

Finally ending the evening with the festivities, dinner, & of course some dancing

There are tons of postings of our trip!

I posted a bunch of postings of the trip, pretend it is all one blog =). Overall, it was tons of fun for all of us. We got the opportunity to meet new family (for the very first time), re-visit with loved ones that we haven't seen in a while, and see the sights of the east. It was the longest, and shortest 5 days ever.. but the memories will last a lifetime. Thanks to everyone for taking the time to show us around, but more importantly.. thanks for welcoming us into your homes & your hearts. Until next time.. we'll be back!

First Stop: Washington DC

The trip to the east had 1 goal, to visit with family (lots of family). Getting to sight see, was icing on the cake. The weather was great most of the time. We had a lot to do in sooo little time.
Day 1.. travel to the east, Day 2... Visit with cousin John, while visiting some of the sights, including Mt. Vernon to see the home of George Washington, White house, and a museum.
Alli, waiting to have breakfast.

Home of 1st President, Washington!
