Nail Polish & Swords

What happens when you put a girly-girl, and an all-boy together?... Nail Polish & Swords. My best friend Penny, Jerrick, Alli and I spent the day together... and what a sight to see. Surprisingly enough, it was a day filled with laughter and smiles.

The kids ran around the park and climbed trees... we ate chocolate covered strawberry's.. and shopped around seaport village. I don't think we knew exactly what was going to happen when we mixed the two together.. but we all ended up having SO much fun, exhausting, but fun!!!! I haven't had a day like this in a very long time...

Until next time!

Alli's First Day of FOURTH Grade!!!

Okay, so today was Alli's first day of fourth grade. Everything started out okay...

I started the morning off a bit slow, but eventually found the time to make her breakfast, packed her lunch with her favorite fruit "cantaloupe", a sourdough and turkey sandwich (hold the mayo an mustard please), and 2 bottles of water...one for her to drink throughout the day, and one for lunch time. And don't forget the plum for snack time.

Okay... Black and White striped shirt $12.99, Hot Pink Leggings $8.99, Jean skirt $14.99, Nike's $59.99... The excitement on my little girls face... absolutely without a doubt priceless!!!!!

Lily, Gracie, Kayla, & Alli

So, we are off to school.. and technically, the school year doesn't truly begin unless "the girls" are together. They walked together, into their new classroom... and I was left with a wink, and a flying kiss...

Reality check: There was a time when Alli would hold my hand, and ask me not to leave... It is moments like this, that I wish I had those days back again. Good-bye little princess, and hello High School Musical.... I'm just going to have to enjoy it, cause soon enough... she'll be hopping into a pink convertible yelling "bye mom, I'm gonna be late for school".

Carne Asada Night!

Kay-Kay & Alli

Liyah & Kay
Okay, so Alli's God-mother (Jen), Kay-Kay, and Devin came over for dinner... actually, let me rephrase that, Jen came over and cooked us dinner... and needless to say we ate way too much. The kids had a great time playing, but more importantly, the food - let's just say we all had tummy aches from eating so much!

I'm convinced, food brings family and friends together. We will make sure we do this again... and definitely soon. -V&A-BTW... I'm so proud, the first pictures posted for victoriaandangel.blogspot include food!!! -v-
